African Bolga Baskets

These colorful African Bolga Baskets are handmade in the Bolgatanga region in Northern Ghana. They are created with Veta vera grass aka elephant grass and then woven into baskets with different patterns, colors, sizes, and shapes. The process can take several days to handcraft one basket. In Africa, these durable baskets are often used for market shopping and transporting goods to and from home.
